Ultra High impedence (10Meg) so you wont get tone suck when you roll the volume knob down or use long cable runs. This pedal is based on the Jack Orman AMZ Booster. which is similar to a Bad Bob. I added way more filtering so it can handle really low frequencies of a bass without getting flabby(because I play bass). It uses a 2n7000 mosfet. There is no room for a battery in this one. If there is enough interest I can build some custom ones in a regular sized box.
It can be used as a buffer as well. Just leave it on and turn it down. At the higher end of the gain spectrum you will feel it start to get dirty. If you push a dirty amp with this, you won’t be disappointed.
